What is Vermeil Gold ?

Vermeil, known as “silver gilt”, refers to high quality (pure or sterling) silver. The Silver is plated with a thin layer of gold. Most vermeil jewelry is created by electroplating the silver with gold.
In United State, The products have to meet certain qualifications to be true vermeil jewelry. The gold on the product have to be 2.5 microns thick at least, and 10k or higher.

Gold filled jewelry has a much thicker layer of gold over the base metal, sometimes as much as 100% thicker. It makes resistance of Jewelry different. This Triple Circle Necklace is created with Vermeil Gold Three Circle Charm and Gold Filled Chain. Findings are all gold filed or 925 Sterling Silver too. The jump rings in the above photo (which connect chain and charm ) is oval. I updated the jump ring recently, It does not look different but it is slightly similar to football shape. It is hight quality jump ring.
Gold is yellow gold. Rose Gold might looks lighter colour If you see with your eyes. 14K Gold Filled Chain, 14K Rose Gold Chain and 925 Sterling Silver chain are roundish cable shape. It is simple but pretty chain.
